Mission
|
To provide sound countywide policies and procedures, financial decisions, and cost efficient services, both now and in the future, through education and leadership by informing and assisting the citizens and public officials in an effective and professional manner.

Goals
- To serve the citizens of Williamsburg county as the governing body of the county
- To promote economic growth and development
- To provide countywide water and sewer services to the rural areas

Clerk to Council
Duties
- Attend all regular, special, and called meetings of both council and council subcommittees
- Record and transcribe all minutes of council and subcommittee meetings
- Record and file ordinances, resolution, petitions, and other legal documents
- Attest and certify official documents on behalf of council
- Coordinate travel arrangements, speaking engagements, appearances, photographs, award presentations, public hearings, swearing-ins, etc. for council members
- Coordinate and address citizen requests on behalf of council
- Serve as a neutral liaison between council and departments of county government
- To transcribe permanent records (minutes, ordinances, resolution and proclamations) to a hardcopy storage medium.
