We are proud of the work we have done so far and the course we have charted for our future. January 2007
- Hemingway native Stanley Stafford Pasley takes office as County Supervisor
- ClientLogic to expand employees roster by 300
- Williamsburg County currently has three industrial parks
- District grants easement to Super Wal-Mart
February 2007
- Firestone announces reduction from 278 to 224 employees
- Wal-Mart Supercenter a possibility
- SCDOT to install $15 million water line
- Williamsburg County officials and community leaders toured manufacturing industries
March 2007
- Annual Industry Appreciation Banquet held by County Development Board
April 2007
- County Council adopts aircraft tax rate change
- County Council passed second reading on two bond issues
May 2007
- Palmetto Synthetics announces $2.5 million expansion and 40 new jobs
- Bio-fuel industry sets sights on Williamsburg County
- County has potential for new hospital
- Design Flooring celebrates grand opening
- 20,000 largemouth fingerlings released in Black River by SCDNR
June 2007
- Infrastructure plans submitted by Wal-Mart
- Council hears Bio-fuel plan
- Firestone thanks Kingstree and Williamsburg County for 13 great years
- Georgetown Credit Union breaks ground at new location site
- 18 county roads to be paved and resurfaced for $992,250
- Hospital announces additions - two OB-GYNs
- County Supervisor reports that County is busy with many projects
- Salters Community leaders and citizens requested a fire station in St. Lawrence
- Peddinghaus Corporation opened a new addition to their production department
- Unemployment rates drops to 7.6%
- County Council approves first budget presented by new County Supervisor

- County experiencing growing pain and plans to purchase old ACSC building
- Airport to receive grant to improve runway
- County Sheriff sworn in as president of S.C. Sheriff’s Association
- Town of Lane awarded $1,000,000 CDBG grant for water system
September 2007
- Town of Greeleyville awarded $75,000 for water system
- Hospital granted $77,895 through Duke Endowment for Practical Nursing Program
October 2007
- Landfill Meeting opens to standing room only crowd
- Salters community holds landfill meeting
