The Veterans Affairs Office assists all veterans, their survivors, and dependents in making a claim for benefits for
which they may be eligible with the Veterans Administration. Claims may be for compensation, pension, hospital, or
nursing home care, burial, insurance, education, and home loans.
State benefits such as automobile tags, tax exemption, dependent education, and health care are other possible benefits
that are filed for the clients.
There are two Veterans Affairs locations in Williamsburg County. The main office is in the County Complex at 147 West
Main Street, Room 106 Kingstree, South Carolina. The other office is at 206 East Broad Street, Hemingway, South Carolina.
